Blackfish Bar and Grill | Como

Blackfish Bar and Grill is a hidden gem in Como. It's located inside Como Pleasure Grounds which is an extremely popular place! The park has your usual playground and picnic tables and clean BBQ areas. We went on a short walking loop after our delightful meal. 

Battered Flathead Fillets  

The serving of this dish was not for one. When it arrived at our table, I stared at Matt and signaled "you are helping me eat this". But we all know Matt isn't the biggest seafood fan so..... it was all up to me. The corona lime battered flathead with seasonal salad, chips and homemade tartare sauce was absolutely delicious. Flathead was fresh, battered nicely and the salad was well dressed. 

Pulled Pork Pappardelle Pasta 

Matt had the pulled pork papparedelle pasta because he just couldn't resist ordering this dish. Even though it had shiitake mushrooms (Matt's not a big mushroom fan either), he still enjoyed this dish. It apparently had white truffle oil but we couldn't taste it. The pork melts in your mouth and was nice in flavour however towards the end of the dish (when Matt ate all the pork), the dish became bland and pasta was soggy and falling apart.

After enjoying your breakie, brunch or lunch at Blackfish Bar and Grill, you can walk down the stairs and enter the walking loop path.
