Butter Sydney | Surry Hills

Since Taste of Sydney, we can not forget that amazing chicken we tried at the Thievery x Butter Sydney pop up. The chicken has been haunting us, until we finally decided to bite the bullet and make a long awaited visit to Butter Sydney. Located in Surry Hills, it is only a 5 minute walk from Central Station. You will know when you have reached your destination when you see the window full of sneakers, and a lit-up glass chalk board. 

3PAC + 1 Additional Tender

The 3PAC consists of 2 chicken tenders and a single thigh, with a generous service of fries and slaw. The chicken was moist chicken and that amazingly oily batter to top it all off. What was different though was the sauce. You have three different strengths to choose from, The OG, Fire and Hot AF (as fu*k). We decided to start off mild with The OG and we ended up soaking the fries and chicken in the sauce. Yeah it was hot, but it was only hot enough to leave a slight burning aftertaste. Next time we may be more adventurous and go with the Hot AF! Good thing they give you a side of slaw because beer does not help when eating hot food. The slaw acts as the neutraliser for the spicy sauce. 

Butter Sydney primarily operates as a bar and sneaker store. So why not sip on some champagne and get your hands greasy eating that damn tasty chicken, while you pick out your next set of sneakers!
