Pablo's Vice | Darlinghurst
Pablo's Vice is an iconic Surry Hills/Darlinghurst cafe with vibrant red and black 3D pattern, you won't miss it if you're walking past. It's known for their food and coffee, a place where locals visit to escape their busy lives or to catch up with friends on the weekend. For over 18 years, Pablo's has been serving Darlinghurst & Surry Hill locals! The barista is extremely talented and made a perfect cup of coffee using Campos coffee beans!
Pablo Vice's has an all day breakfast menu serving popular items like bacon and egg roll, smashed avocado and feta, muesli and various stacks. They also have a great selection from their lunch menu (served from 11am) which includes mouth-watering burgers and sides! The selection of drinks are endless; you can check out their menu here. We also know they are serving tapas on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 6:30pm - all very exciting!
Now this looks like a decent burger, none of the 10x patties with cheese sauce drizzled all over it - making it the perfect Instagram photo - but overlooking the actual purpose of a burger. A burger is something we think that fits perfectly in your hands and mouth! One where you can enjoy all the taste in one mouthful. That's exactly what this burger did for us. The American style cheddar cheese on a lightly seasoned organic beef pattie with caramelised onion was a treat. However, it doesn't stop there. There's also crispy maple bacon and sweet gherkin pickles served with aioli and house made tomato relish on a milk bun.
Haloumi Stack
We haven't had haloumi in a while and thought why not! We love haloumi - grilled - with balsamic vinegar and lemon. So we could not wait to dig in when we saw this on their menu. The haloumi stack is served with pan fried haloumi, smashed avocado, wilted spinach, aioli and a perfecly poached egg on top of sourdough. Loved everything together and the texture was great - we would've preferred the sourdough to be slightly more crunchy BUT, we absolutely loved the flavours! If we were locals, we'd also be back for their bacon and egg wraps - we saw a few locals ordering that so it MUST be good!
