O Bal Tan BBQ Korean Restaurant | Sydney CBD
Located just a short walk away from Town Hall station in a dingy alleyway is O Bal Tan BBQ Korean Restaurant. Trust us, it's worth the suspense... you can easy walk past the alleyway (we did) so make sure to keep an eye out! What I love about Korean BBQ is the amount of side dishes that come out. There are some staple side dishes and the unfamiliar ones! We found this place slightly pricier than other KBBQ's in the city but it was worth it.
We initially wanted to order two meat dishes which would've come to roughly the same price however, the BBQ combo was better in terms of value for money. We got an extra 200g worth of meat to feed our empty stomach. We choose the BBQ combo which had bulgogi, pork belly, spicy pork and chicken! We swapped out the squid for the spicy pork - so they are fairly flexible.
Kimchi Pancake
The kimchi pancake was quite ordinary but I loved the crispy batter, amount of kimchi and the dipping sauce! I've had better kimchi pancake but this grew on us bite after bite - we managed to finish everything we ordered.
