Vecino | Canterbury
Think of Korean food mixed with Mexican cuisine accompanied with plenty of colourful cocktails. Vecino is located just a short walk away from Canterbury station and is becoming increasingly popular - for their Fried Chicken! There are lots of street parking and a car park so it's very convenient if you don't like catching public transport.
Urban Tacos
We were lucky enough to be able to sample three types of urban tacos otherwise, you have the option to order 2 of the same tacos or 3 of the same tacos from their menu. You can check out their menu on Zomato. We loved and would highly recommend the honey cream prawn tacos. They were battered and cooked to perfection with the perfect amount of sweetness. Our next favourite was the bulgogi taco followed by the spicy pork taco.
Korean Fried Chicken
The moment we've all been waiting for arrived at our table. I'm talking about the hyped up, most talked about and blogged about dish from Vecino... their FRIED CHICKEN. We ordered the Sweet Spicy chicken with bone (as recommended) and were surprised by the Rosemary Honey Garlic Chicken which was super sweet. The chicken was quite nice, we loved the sauce and would return to try the other sauces on their menu.
Bulgogi Kimchi Fries
We ordered this not knowing that the fried chicken came with chips and salad and instantly regretted it however, it was delicious. Loved the little bits and pieces of kimchi and sauces smothered all over the chips. A great dish to share around the table with friends!
