Umaya Japanese Restaurant | Kirrawee
Umaya is located in South Village, a place to connect the Kirrawee community. Though we're not from Kirrawee, we couldn't help noticing the many apartments being developed, exciting announcements of fresh food, health and fitness, hair and beauty, food and drink options. The bright colours from advertisements got our attention because we couldn't wait to visit South Village (mainly to check out the new Coles) but more or less, to go on an eating adventure. We had a craving for Japanese food so decided to visit Umaya Japanese Restaurant.
We ordered two lunch bento box specials with two mocktails. The bento box had pictures of a potato croquette, age-dashi tofu, rice and your choice of protein. Matt choose the wagyu beef steak and I decided to order the teriyaki Salmon. When the bento boxed arrived, I was disappointed to see the potato croquette had been substituted with a vegetarian spring roll. We also ordered their Gyoza which is surprisingly not made from pork but chicken! We are not in a rush to re-visit Umaya until we have another local Japanese craving.
