Thai Thae | Hurstville

Thai Thae is only a short walk away from Hurstville Station which is our preferred travel method i.e. public transport! We were super excited to learn about this authentic Thai restaurant on our train ride home (so we can easily hop off and hop back on). Thai Thae has many specialty dishes like their Duck Larb (which I've never seen before), Roast Duck Curry and Tom Yum Fried Rice!

 Duck Larb

Since it's Thai Thae's specialty, we couldn't pass ordering the Duck Larb which was sensational and jam packed with that nam jim flavour. I've never seen this combination before so was very excited to taste this!

 Kaeng Phed Pedyang

This dish is also known as a roasted duck curry. I found it interesting served on a plate as curry is normally served in a bowl - it made it harder to finish off the sauce! This curry is served with a spicy red curry sauce, juicy pineapples, soft lychees, cherry tomatoes and lime leaves. I loved the sweet flavour from the lychee when mixed together with the savoury duck.
