Cream'd Ice Cream Pop Up Store | Sydney CBD
Cream'd has opened a pop up store in Westfield Sydney, near the entrance to the underground food court below Myer. We didn't know at first that this was opened, we were just looking for somewhere to sit down at first. The crowd gathering around drew us closer, and the taro option kept us there to order. We had no intentions of eating, but ended up walking away with one! This has been on our foodie bucket list for some time, so we are glad to finally try it out!
There were four flavours to choose from and we spent a good 5 minutes debating which flavour to get! The four flavours included Oreo Loving, Green Tea Shawty, Lychee Goodness and De-Taro-Licious. I mean, the De-Taro-Licious was the standout for sure, but the Lychee Goodness was calling us out.
We opted for the De-Taro-Licious and the staff got right onto making our dessert. The whole store is quite small, and every aspect of the ice cream making process can be seen. They must get tired of all the photos, but we couldn't resist!
The ice cream is rolled into scrolls and the extra goodies are added to make the finished product. We loved how the ice cream texture was a little bouncy/chewy. It might have been the fact that it was so cold, that it didn't melt as soon as it hit our tongue, quite a different texture than we are accustomed to. The elements on the top was good but it could've done without it. Loved the strong 'fake' taro taste.
